But more than a third (36%) of those who organised pre-wedding send-offs have been left feeling the pinch, with an average of £53 per person not being paid back.

With the average hen and stag costs totalling £145 per person, the research also unveiled that for one in ten, hen and stag do related money matters have caused arguments.

With Circle’s feature, Groups are quick and easy to create. Simply tap the ‘New Chat’ button on the main messages screen and users will be prompted to select friends who are currently on their Circle friends list, or invite new friends to Circle by entering their phone number.

Groups can contain up to 20 people, so whether you need to collect money for that round of drinks, split the bill between a stag present, or getting back flight and hotel costs, Circle has got it covered. Within groups, users will still be able to use Circle’s other popular features; including sending instant messages, images and even GIFs - making getting back that cash just a little bit less awkward.

Circle also has a feature called Events, which makes collection those monetary wedding presents a lot easier. By creating an ‘Event’ on Circle pay, you’ll be able to add a message and a picture and then send a link out with any invite - guests will then be able to enter the amount they’d like to gift and add a message with it. It takes out all the hassle of bank accounts and awkward cash exchanges, and can all be done online. All you need to do to get set up is contact Circle’s customer service team who can give you access to the web-based function. Easy!
