It’s already hard to be with someone when they’re from a different culture to yours. The question is, when you’ve gone through the hardship that surrounds being together, how on earth do you accommodate different cultures for your wedding?

Well, the first thing you might want to consider is if you’re happy to adopt their culture in to your own. If that’s a yes, fab! Now you need to research or even just ask your partner; what happens in their ceremony?

1. What are the first things we should consider when looking for occasion wear?

Firstly, colours, for weddings if you are a main guest find out if you have to work to a colour theme. The mother of the bride traditionally has first choice. If you are not colour restricted look at what colour works best with your skin tone.

Secondly, dress code. For some events – races, black tie, award ceremonies, there may be dress codes so do check first before parting with your money.   Our stylists are extremely talented at finding the right outfit to meet the dress code requirements.

It may not have been the setting for Pretty Woman or Maid in Manhattan, but in recent years Rotherham’s largest independent hotel has proved to be the star of its own romantic blockbuster, with 17 members of staff meeting their perfect partner whilst working at the popular three star hotel.

Carlton Park Hotel has been shooting Cupid’s arrow since it first opened its doors in 1981 and hosts more than 80 weddings each year. But it’s behind the scenes where true love has blossomed and fairy tale matches have been made with many of its staff falling for its charms; meeting and eventually marrying ‘The One’ within the walls of the hotel.

Blackwell Grange has a long and fascinating history, having been built as a private home by the Allan family. Building commenced in 1693 and was finally completed in 1717, with the property being passed down through the family until 1953.

From the moment you turn into the long, sweeping driveway and catch your first glimpse of the Georgian façade, you know you are somewhere very special. Set in 9 acres of glorious countryside, the hotel is perfect for capturing those all-important wedding photos. Abbey’s Historic ‘Library’ to host Winter Weddings from 2016

Combermere Abbey is thrilled to announce that from January 2016, during the months of January and February, couples may hold their wedding ceremony in ‘The Library’; a stunningly ornate room steeped within over 800 years of history, on the first floor of the Abbey itself.

Created for Abbots, visited by Royalty and aristocrats, and enjoyed by many, the room was once was the ‘Abbott’s Lodge’ dating back to 1133. This was his principal room, where important guests would be received and entertained – it was the heart of the Abbey.

The Library has recently undergone a significant programme of specialist restoration, part of a wider multi-million pound investment to save the Abbey’s North Wing.
