The Cottage Boutique has the perfect accomodation for your Coastal Wedding

Coastal Wedding at TopsThe town’s cobbled streets and sweeping harbour also provides an opportunity to relax beforehand or extend your break into the honeymoon period. If you’re looking for accommodation that can cater for both small and larger groups, The Old Police Station (TOPS) complex, managed by The Cottage Boutique, is perfect. The main house, sleeps up to 10 people and as the former Police Station in St Ives which was built in 1890, the house has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard.  It is in an utterly unique location that is a few strides from the harbour’s edge, and yet it is tranquil and spacious.  The house enjoys sea glimpses towards Godrevy Lighthouse from the first floor and a fabulous walled rear courtyard garden, with outside seating, the courtyard garden catches the sun for most of the day.

If there are more people in your party you can also add on different parts to the complex including Sergeant’s Retreat which used to be the former jail cells, The Studio and The Briefing Room. Sergeant’s Retreat sleeps up to eight people and is the second largest space within the police station courtyard. This part of the building used to be the old jail cells and whilst its current residents enjoy a bit more luxury than previous tenants, there are notches until the ‘days of freedom’ in the outside shower (for washing off sand) as a nod to its history.

The Studio sleeps up to four people and provides an "upside down" loft style apartment, which is only moments away from the harbour and beach. As its' name suggests there is some wonderful artwork on show on the studio main wall, with several local artists displaying their pieces all of which are available for purchase.

Finally, The Briefing Room sleeps two and is the latest addition to the portfolio and is a delightful one bedroom studio with a  vaulted ceiling and a New England style decor.
