Every bride wants gorgeous wedding day hair. While plenty of brides look great with short hair, many brides grow out their locks before the big day or opt for hair extensions. Russian tape hair extensions are super safe as they don’t pull on your roots which means minimal damage on your hair, they last 4-6 weeks so are a quick and easy way to add volume, colour and length to create your dream look!
Celebrity Hair Stylist Phil Smith, Creator of award winning haircare brand Phil Smith BE GORGEOUS, gives us his top tips for getting perfect wedding hair.day.
Grow your hair
Clients usually start growing their hair from the day they get engaged as they know that a longer hair style means their hairstylist has more to work with on their big day. We always find that as soon as they return from their honeymoon, the first thing they do on their return is book an appointment to cut it all off again!. I also advise clients not to colour their hair less than two weeks before their big day. This way it has time to settle and get in great condition for all the pictures
Keep your hair nourished
Richard Ward award-winning Royal and celebrity hairdresser and founder of Tangle Angel talks to us about winter wedding hairstyles.
Wedding hair is a very personal choice and there’s a lot to consider: it has to work with your dress, accessories, face shape and make you feel totally comfortable at the same time. For winter weddings, lots of brides move away from very summery looks and opt for chunky braids or ‘undone’ updos; these looks are a popular choice as they have a slightly ethereal feeling, but are still quite structured and polished.
Weddings are a great excuse to buy a gorgeous new outfit, and whilst it can sometimes be stressful creating the perfect look, you no longer need to worry about your hair. Gone are the days when you had to race through the shower just to give yourself enough time to dry and style your hair without breaking into a sweat. That’s because, Revlon, has a range of quick and easy how-to-guides to help you complete your look with ease, and in half the time!
The sophisticated slicked back look
When it comes to having a trial run for your bridal hairstyle, it’s always a good idea to book this the same day as your dress fitting and makeup trial. The reason for this is that it gives the bride the chance to see their overall look there and then, rather than on the wedding day where she may not feel it looks right and it’s too late, as most often the stylist has left before the bride puts on their dress.

Summer can take its toll on our skin and hair, with our tans slowly fading and our skin feeling dry from air conditioning, chlorine and too much sun – it’s time to get back your glow.
Sitting in air-conditioned rooms and planes absorbs the skins natural moisture leaving it feeling dry and parched and it can be particularly detrimental to those who have skin conditions such as eczema, rosacea or psoriasis. However, giving your skin a little TLC with some carefully selected skin saviors will bring your complexion back from the brink, leaving it looking healthy and glowing again.
A member of the country’s most influential hairdressing dynasty, fourth-generation hairdresser Daniel was mixing hair colour when other children were doing finger paintings.
