Give the Ultimate Valentine’s Gift – An Intimate Boudoir Portrait

Capture the beauty of your loved one for all time in the luxurious, opulent and romantic style of a bygone era this Valentine’s Day. The indulgent gift of a Boudoir Portrait is set to transform the clichéd Valentine’s Day gifting experience.

The Boudoir Portraits have become sought after as the ultimate, luxury gift experience with a difference, a must-have for both well-heeled women and couple. Since 2014, artist Skye Holland has been capturing clients ‘in boudoir’. With the personally tailored experience of a champagne lunch and portrait-sitting that unearths even the most reluctant Goddess, as they are spectacularly, tastefully and lovingly rendered in ink and paper.

“The portraits allow women and men to confront their own beauty and sexuality, whether playful or serious, and capture that essence in a bold visual statement. No airbrushing, clichéd poses or standardised accessories. It’s about expressing who we want to be and celebrating our own beauty, sexiness and differences,” says Skye.

You Magazine columnist Liz Jones says of her portrait, “I feel a bit tearful. I sent photos of the pictures to my fiancé, David. But I’m not going to give the artworks to him: I’m going to hang them in my hallway. I’ve decided to take ownership not just of them, but of my home and my life. Maybe when I’m 80 I’ll look at them and wonder why I was always so ashamed of how I looked.”

Having graduated from Central St. Martin’s School of Art in 1987 with a 1st class honours in Fine Art Printmaking, acclaimed artist Skye has enjoyed a thirty-year career traversing between London, New York and South Africa. Exhibiting and selling her own artwork, Skye has been a firm fixture on the London contemporary art scene.

Prompted in 2014 by her then 24-year-old daughter Emmanuelle’s request to be drawn ‘in boudoir’ as a sexy and intimate gift for her boyfriend who was about to turn 30, Skye agreed, and the image was whisked off to be beautifully framed. It was a huge success and from that seed of inspiration, The Boudoir Portraits were born.

Private commissions drawn in Skye’s studio, framing of drawings available by request. The ‘Platinum’ Experience includes a day spent in Skye’s South-West London studio with a champagne lunch and costs starting at £1,000. Those that truly want to capture the essence of the moment can opt for the ‘Diamond’ package, which starts at £3,000 and includes a beautiful portfolio of photographs recording your personal day.  Skye will also draw couples.

Whether an indulgent gift to oneself, or a Valentine’s gift for a loved one, The Boudoir Portraits offer a precious moment to pause, relax and take centre stage in your own beautifully liberating, original artwork.
