Bowburn Hall Hotel

A COUNTY Durham hotel is giving loved-up couples the chance to wed like the rich and famous with exclusive access to the whole venue for their special day.

Bowburn Hall Hotel, part of the Ramside Estates group, already promises to only ever host one wedding per day, but now it is giving bridal parties the opportunity to have the whole venue to themselves.

This includes the grounds, all 20 bedrooms, the restaurant and public areas with the hotel closing its doors to any other visitors or customers on the day.

Set in five acres of landscaped gardens, Bowburn Hall Hotel is just two miles from Durham City. Originally built as a country house for the village’s first colliery agent, it was converted to a hotel in the early 1960s.

CANAPÉS AND COWBOY BOOTS…

Kathryn S Trueman 2016 Bridal Collection hoe down

The NORTH East’s leading bridal shop is unveiling its new wedding gown collections with an evening of Champagne, canapés and …cowboy boots.

On Thursday, 10 September, catwalk models will display the latest creations from some of the world’s top designers at award-winning Kathryn S Trueman bridal shop, Bridge Street, Morpeth.

And, instead of tiaras and high heels, the models will be sporting cowboy boots and stetsons, in keeping with the vision behind some of the couture gowns.

Among the wedding dresses on parade, will be designs from Claire Pettibone’s Romantique collection, which has been heavily influenced by America’s Old Wild West.
