Do Us A Favour – Celebrate World Chocolate Day With Amedei Tuscany

You’ve got the dress duly sorted, the cake’s been catered for and the venue has been voted on.  Time now to worry about the items that come slightly further down on the wedding tick list.  But one thing you need not fret over is the favours.

World Chocolate Day is upon us and with that in mind, instead of offering the more traditional almonds as wedding favours, why not opt for almond chocolate instead?  (Trust us, your guests will thank you for it!).  And if you’re going to really break with tradition by offering chocolate, then it stands to reason that you should offer a chocolate with a history of breaking tradition.  Amedei Tuscany’s award winning chocolate is our preference for wedding favour perfection – particularly their dark chocolate Mandorle (almond) bar, if you don’t want to steer too far left of a classic favour.  The pretty packaging alone is totally top table-worthy, but it’s the melt-in-the-mouth deliciousness of the chocolate itself that really gets our vote.

Founded nearly 30 years ago, Amedei was born from one woman’s vision and love of chocolate.  In 1990, Cecilia Tessieri embarked on a mission to make Italian chocolate the most exquisite in the world, and she’s been smashing through glass (or should that be chocolate?) ceilings in a male-dominated business ever since.  Her continual search for chocolaty perfection has led her to become the first woman in the world to hold the renowned title of Maître Chocolatier, and she has since gone on to produce the six-time winner of the Academy of Chocolate’s

Golden Bean Awards (the chocolate industry’s equivalent of the Oscars, in case you’re wondering).  Not to mention that celebrities of the cookery world frequently use her chocolate, including Michel Roux Jr, John Williams and William Curley.  That’s got to be worth raising a toast to, even if the best man’s speech isn’t!
