1.    The Bear Hotel, Devizes

The Market Place in Devizes has recently been listed as one of the prettiest streets in Britain and The Bear Hotel is situated one side with a registry office on the other. The wedding venue space includes a ballroom with bar area suitable for celebrations for up to 100 people; the Ante room accommodates 20–30 people. These facilities have their own entrance and cloakroom. The 3-star hotel includes 25 en-suite bedrooms, two with outstanding four poster beds. Catering and refreshments can be provided by the professional team of staff. Venue hire prices from as little as £250.

 

2.    Corsham Town Hall

Situated in the heart of Corsham’s picturesque High Street and almost opposite the beautiful St Batholomew’s Church, the historic Town Hall makes an excellent wedding horshamreception venue with a glorious backdrop for photographs. The bright welcoming main hall, with its floor to ceiling windows will comfortably seat 100 people for a wedding breakfast. Included is use of the kitchen together with crockery and cutlery plus tables and chairs. Venue hire prices start from as little as £31 per hour, or £105 for four hours. Catering not included.

 

3.    The Laverton, Westbury

The Laverton is a 19th century Italianate gothic palazzo situated just minutes away from the High Street. The main hall, which can accommodate up to 200 guests, has stained glass windows which create the perfect romantic ambience for a lavish wedding reception. Venue hire includes the use of the kitchen together with its crockery and cutlery, tables and chairs. The adjacent William room is perfect for drinks receptions and has its own private bar. Catering not included. Venue hire charges for weddings are £18 per hour plus VAT (minimum 3 hours).

4.    De Vere Alexandra House Hotel, near Swindonde were alexandra house hotel

7.    Grittleton House, Chippenham

This family owned stunning Grade 2 Listed Gothic Victorian mansion is set within 35 acres of private formal gardens and parkland. Brimming with outstanding architectural features choose between beautiful indoor and outdoor areas including the Italian Sunken Garden & Terrace where guests can enjoy a glass of Champagne before sitting down in the majestic Red Gallery to a delicious wedding breakfast prepared by the in house Michelin trained chef. The House can accommodate up to 200 for a ceremony, with up to 350 guests for evening receptions. In addition to the 10-acre activity field, the venue offers a cobbled yard, Cara’s Barn, a mezzanine dining area for 60 and the Orchard Room with capacity for up to 100 guests. Venue hire from £2,000.

10.  Stourhead, near Warminster

The Temple of Apollo, overlooking the 18th-century landscape garden, is the perfect choice for a romantic ceremony. With its graceful stonework and unparalleled views, it was once described by Horace Walpole as 'one of the most picturesque scenes in the world'. Breathtaking vistas are perfect for wedding photographs. The Temple is available every day, all year round, except Christmas Day. The capacity is 30 inside the temple, but additional guests are welcome outside. The venue hire price is £1,800 plus VAT. The Spread Eagle Inn nearby has 5 lovely Georgian bedrooms and can cater for a reception for up to 40 people.
