A wedding day is said to be one of the happiest days of your life, and if you’re the resident photographer at one of those special and memorable occasions, you too could be smiling from ear to ear. Food for Celebration, sponsored by Champagne Taittinger, a category of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year is once again looking for festive photos of celebratory food from around the globe.
Perhaps you have amazing shots of a bridal breakfast, a sumptuous spread at a stag do, a wedding cake creation with towering tiers, the pink Champagne toast, or silver service waiters preparing a wedding feast with military precision - all could be potential contenders for the top prize!
We hope that Members of The Society of Wedding Portrait Photographers (SWPP), the fastest growing worldwide association for serious photographers, will check through their archive of wedding photos too.
The food photo fairytale can happen, Shoeb Faruquee from Bangladesh, triumphed in the Food for Celebration category early this year with his shot Food for God, and then went on to win the overall title of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, receiving the top prize of GBP 5000 and global recognition.
Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year is the world’s leading celebration of food photography and film. The judges, chaired by David Loftus, include Ferran Adria, Jenna Close, Alison Morley, H.E. Ali Bin Thalith, Tamara Beckwith and Sheila Dillon, and many other stars of the food and photography world. The winners’ exhibition is held at the world famous Mall Galleries, London in late April 2018.
